1222923 2011-08-13 08:26:00 My friend has an asus x193w monitor running off a Gforce 7050/nforce 620i.
The monitor's maximum vertical resolution is 1050, but the display settings only have the maximum res option of 1440x900, even at it's lowest refresh rate of 60hz.
It annoying seeing the slught blurring on text sometimes, does this puppy need a bigger gpu to hit it's max res?
(I'm guessing 1050p is it's native - that's what it's advertised as it's maximum)

1222924 2011-08-13 08:34:00 It looks like thats an Acer not an ASUS. And its native resolution is 1440x900. So, you wont get a higher resolution Speedy Gonzales (78)
1222925 2011-08-13 21:36:00 sorry yes I meant acer... so if a monitor is advertised as 1080p, does that not necessarily mean that that's its native resolution?

1222926 2011-08-13 23:49:00 Depends where it said that. Doubt a shop would say its 1080p when it isnt. If a computer shop said it, take it back. Ask if they know what 1080p means Speedy Gonzales (78)
1222927 2011-08-14 00:02:00 It shouldnt have been advertised as 1080p IMO. Its specs are:

LCD
300 cd/m2
2000:1 contrast ratio
19in screen
1440x900 resolution
16:10 aspect
available colours: black, silver
