| 1221670 | 2011-08-08 04:15:00 | Hi, I have a Toshiba laptop (C650) that decided to envoke the BIOS password. Was shut down normally one night then on startuo just give the enter password prompt.... gggrrrrr I get the F2 for setup and the F12 boot options (if your quick you see it) but neither work, always end up back at enter password!! It is a insyde H20 BIOS Any help appreciated. Cheers |

Failing that you've got only two other options: A backdoor (factory) password Removing the battery or shorting the BIOS to reset it - either way, it'll likely involve pulling it apart, unless you can find a tiny hole leading to a reset button. |

| 1221672 | 2011-08-08 05:25:00 | Some (Older) Toshiba laptops let you reset the password with a special parallel-port connected dongle. You plugged it in and turned the machine on, and the password was automatically removed. |
