1195375 2011-04-18 04:30:00 Nice, I have cleaned out many a DV5 and IMO they are among the worst, if not the worst to get at. :badpc: That vid is very well done.

Got an Acer travelmate 2400 here, two screws to open a panel, four more for the fan and heatsink. 5 minute job rather than a 45 minute one. That's the only thing I like about (most) acers they are easy to fix.... :devil

1195378 2011-04-18 10:59:00 got a dv5. it wasn't that bad to take a apart IMO but there are definitely easier ones. I keep dust out best as possible so wasn't that dirty.

I must admit, huge disassembly to get to the fan BUT, I did mine a different way, it was a bit simpler when it came to the removal of the bezel... I think, It just seems a bit more messy than the way I did it

is an apple laptop easy to clean?

Brilliant!

Loved the giant cotton bud! Now if only my tiny containers of isoprop would morph up in size as well...

Reminded me of the task of getting into my brothers Toshiba. Screws and plugs forever.
