They are pretty much the same, except there is no audio on DVI...

Yes, most do, but they are poxy and little. :p

Generally you'd use them in an office presentation situation, where you might set a projector up on the table and project onto a wall. It's handy having it there, but you wouldn't watch a movie or anything with one.
