1194908 2011-04-16 07:19:00 Who's debating? There's no debate to see here. Move along please.

:D

1194909 2011-04-16 07:56:00 There is NO debate as usual. Not a formal one with rules anyway. Snorkbox (15764)

That could be arranged :D

I believe that it has been tried in the past. There have only been two actual debates. Some people don't want to know and others put their hand up and then take it down again.

Last time it was tried it was the usual dismal failure. Do you want to arrange a debate with the usual rules?

1194912 2011-04-16 11:12:00 You can stick Facebook where the sun does not shine. Like in a cave or elsewhere.

Don't think gary67 would like that very much ;)

NO. Looks like it was set up by some 15 year olds.

1194914 2011-04-17 08:29:00 Sigh - another anti-Facebook debate .

I just watched the movie "The Social Network" this afternoon (history of the setup of the company/site) .

If the story portrayed is only half true, then I remain happy in my lack of a FaceTube account .

Zuckerburg is portrayed as a prize a**hole (almost a socio-path), with very low ethical standards as well as an idea-thief who has no empathy or consideration for privacy, or any respect for the law . He even stiffed his best mate (Eduardo Saverin) out of a fortune in shares .

I'm not at all surprised FaceTwit has had privacy issues . A very clever coder, but just a smarmy hacker at heart . Pity it's so successful - I guess karma will catch up with him eventually . . .

1194915 2011-04-17 10:53:00 Considering he doesn't do a lot of the coding, those kinds of issues aren't specifically derived from him as a person.

That said, the movie was surprisingly accurate on a lot of fronts ;)

Still privacy issues. Nothing a little adjustment of the default settings couldn't change though!
