1222567 2011-08-11 23:55:00 My Windows 7 laptop got a bluescreen and had to restart Windows for the first time today. I don't know what caused it, but it's probably just a one off. Still, I went to check the hard drive's health using a drive monitor, and even though it says the health is 100%, this one value stuck out to me:

Write Error Rate/Multi-Zone Error Rate: 24915484 (raw value)

The drive monitor seems to think this number is fine, but is it? Even if it's not related to the crash, does anyone know if it's something I should be concerned about?

Thanks.

1222569 2011-08-12 02:41:00 Best to note the exact BSOD first rather than jumping to conclusions on what might have caused it. pctek (84)

Dang, I think I cleared the minidumps out with Ccleaner already. Whoops. I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed it doesn't happen again, but if it does, I'll make sure to use that application. Thanks Speedy.

1222571 2011-08-12 04:57:00 Untick memory dumps under the windows tab. So, ccleaner wont remove them again Speedy Gonzales (78)
1222572 2011-08-12 06:05:00 Wouldn't worry, if it's a one-off. If you get more, then note the STOP error when it happens.

But a one-off, well it's Windows, **** happens.
