1196300 2011-04-22 01:23:00 Another brilliant demonstration that you have no understanding of what the scientific method is.

Prove the above then. It's your theory after all. In fact why not go and write a thesis on it and submit same for peer review. If you can find any peers as you seem to be peerless or unmatched. :p

We have yet to hear what your theory is although it appears to something to do with staring into the sky with a vacant mind from what you've written in the past.

1196302 2011-04-22 01:37:00 And someone has actually posted this article here before, and if memory serves right, Cic, that very person was you.

Does not matter that the article has been posted before. It is something that needs repeating. Good on you Ciccy.

It would seem that you have problems with comprehesion. I asked you to prove YOUR theory and you can't.

It was from 12V asking Snort to make his day.

I didn't propose a theory so not sure what you are talking about there. You proposed that the scientific method is wrong but have yet to demonstrate that you have an alternative. The onus is on you to prove your argument but as usual you try and side step it because you don't really have an argument, other than the mantra that one should keep an open mind and stare at the moon for guidance.

Sigh. I did not propose the scientific method was wrong. I have asked what group of scientists do we believe.

You, on the other hand, have made allegations regarding my state of mind that you have no hope of proving as you simply don't know. Have you ever seen me staring at the moon?

Mantra definition:- en.wikipedia.org

Just so you know what the word means. :)

1196307 2011-04-22 03:26:00 Fair comment, Snorkbox, but let's not hijack Cicero's thread.

Sorry Cicero, I tried. :groan:

1196309 2011-04-22 05:30:00 Plants need CO2 to grow so we need to grow more plants and trees so that this CO2 is absorbed and converted into oxygen. We need to use more wood products so that landowners are encouraged to grow trees. Trees during their lifetime produce oxygen until they are harvested. If the demand for wood based products remains then new trees will be grown to replace the harvested trees so that the cycle goes on. I see no problem with trees being chopped down and used as long as they are replaced.

x2 but little trees don't uptake as much CO2 as big ones and we are cutting down toooo many big ones to allow enough take-up of aforementioned said CO2.

This subject has been up before the "beat" and I cannot find the name of the Kiwi arborist who planned to plant around the borders' of the Sahara Desert with Pinus Radiata, to restrict it's expanding any further.

Need to check out the latter, lol.

Lurking.
