1196507 2011-04-23 00:36:00 What you guys think of this phone (www.dse.co.nz)?

At just $199.00, it looks great.

Any current users out there would like to commend?

1196508 2011-04-23 00:46:00 Or this Nokia X6 (www.2degreesmobile.co.nz electProd.do%3FprodId%3D68&_konakart_portlet_WAR_konakart_portlet_prodId=68&_konakart_portlet_WAR_konakart_portlet__sorig=%2FS electCat.do%3FcatId%3D21) @$299.00? bk T (215)
1196509 2011-04-23 00:48:00 I wouldn't buy a Nokia, Symbian is dead... Gotta go android. Cato (6936)

Agree with you on this but which phone would you recommend in terms of features and price?

LGs and Samsungs are out as I had nasty experiences with Korean products although they 'look' real good - only their looks!

Samsung makes the best phones on market these days...

For your budget range, I'd get this: www.parallelimported.co.nz

This phone looks impressive.

But what about their after sales service? Read quite a lot about their bad after sales service.

Pretty much everyone I know who is into gadgetry has a imported phone. I don't recall anyone having problems.

They'll fix you up if it breaks down, not the fastest service of the lot though... But the reality is, the chances of something going wrong is pretty low in the first place...

Edit: Wrong link:

www.vodafone.co.nz

That's quite a difference.

1196514 2011-04-24 05:40:00 Either:

Buy a Windows Phone 7 from HTC/Nokia when they come out
Buy a HTC/Samsung android
Buy a cheapie android from the 2degrees store

That's what I'd do anyway...

1196515 2011-04-24 06:27:00 If you get a touch screen avoid like the plague resistive touch. It is evil!!!

If you are looking for a higher end android from Samsung the Galaxy S is very nice and can be flashed to 2.3. most devices are sold running 2.1 which can then be upgraded to 2.2. Most of the low end android phones are unlikely to get 2.2/3 updates (I may be wrong there though)
