1465308 2019-12-03 19:10:00 SWMBO thinks it is disgusting and asked "would you do it?"

My reply was "gosh no, it might affect my chances of a job as a bike stand at the local shopping centre"

1465309 2019-12-03 21:59:00 No here's a laugh:

My therapist suggested I to write letters to the people I hate and burn them.
Well, I did all that, but now I don't know what to do with the letters.

Sent that to a friend yesterday, she has mental health depression and has recently had a bad time. She said it helped heaps.

(I guess she means the laugh helped, not following the instructions)

1465310 2019-12-03 22:37:00 Its an "ancient Taoist practice"

So what about all the other ancient healing methods.
Mercury was seen as a miracle cure, back then . Let bring that back , as well as blood letting .

That was my favourite as well. Quoted it to SWMBO and got the disapproving stare. Oh well, another sin in 53 years of marriage.

1465313 2019-12-06 22:45:00 53 years of marriage.

Seeing that made me laugh. SWMBO and I have been married for 51 years last October. We went to The Mission Restaurant (Posh) for lunch and mentioned the fact to our delightful French waitress. She must have told this to the Chef as when our desert arrived it had this on the plate. She was very apologetic that they had birthday instead of anniversary, but we told her it was worth it to be thought of as being our 51st birthday again. :banana

1465314 2019-12-07 01:46:00 Kenj - I agree with you, though a youngish waitress might not have understood your delight.

Last year I was at a restaurant in Margaret River WA. I was standing on a top terrace outside, with a set of steps down to the level where my family was sitting at our table. All I was doing was quietly thinking about whether I should order more drinks. A lovely young French waitress came up to me all concerned and offered me her arm to take me down the steps... It was tempting to take her up on her offer, but my motives would have been suspect. It shows how surprised we can be at how others see us.
