| 1465016 | 2019-11-19 07:03:00 | Ive got my Pi3 working :-) I can see folders showing up on the screen that shows video output from my Pi3. Can anyone here on this forum tell me what the name of this Windows File Explorer-like software is? Am I correct that the operating system that came with this SD card is Raspian? How can I confirm that the O/S used by my Pi3 is Raspbian? Many thanks in advance for your assistance, Barry. |

Also: You can check the release of Raspbian, simply reading the content of the os-release file. Or you can install lsb-release package and then run it to get the version of the operating system. Instead, if you want to know the Kernel version in your Raspberry Pi, you can use the uname command This may find the name of the File Explorer: Typing gksudo in Terminal and then hitting enter. A window named Run program will pop up. Then typing pcmanfm on the Run text field. |
