1465189 2019-12-03 00:10:00 Could it be related to the steepness of the slope you are riding up?

By that - I don't mean that the bike struggles to get up the slope but that the angle of the machine might cause fluids to flow to the wrong end of the whatsit.

1465190 2019-12-03 05:00:00 I doubt this will be of much help but it reminds me of a mate that purchased a brand new you beaut trailer boat.

Now this boat ran like a charm around Mount Maunganui and surrounding waters.

So one day he thought he would take it to Taupo for a week or two and reduce the trout population.

Problem was it coughed and spluttered and had to be taken to a Service Centre.

At no small cost it was going again and it didn’t miss a beat until it got back to Mount Maunganui, where it started the same nonsense.

So back to the local Service Centre who massaged his wallet again and all was well.

Then it was back to Taupo for some unfinished business and wouldn’t you know it, the same problem back again.

$$’s poorer, all was well again, except for when he got back to the Mount and the fault was back.

As you can imagine his language was quite uncivilised and the boat was traded on a Gin Palace and stuff the Trout in Taupo.

Turns out, a short time later, that the problem was known to those qualified, and was caused by the difference in height above sea level between Taupo and Mount Maunganui.

Seems this particular model outboard, (Mercury as I recall) had some adjustment that was sensitive to height above sea level.

Not saying that’s your problem prefect but worth consideration. :)

If not try a higher Octane

I'm quite over the Beehive, but the tip is a useful place.

Reminds me of the good days when drink driving was a sport not a crime. I do remember around 1978 at the Okaramio pub (my local) went to leave after a few (or many) drinks every time I kicked my bike a Norton Commando it fell over. I would right it and try again. What I didnt know at the time the whole pub was watching they all crowded the windows to watch as I was told the next day. One watching was the off duty Havelock traffic cop Albie Rose. I guess these days someone would take the keys off you
