Husband was semi-retired too, but we thought that meant he didn't do certain (heavier) jobs at all, not sit on his *** drinking beer during jobs, like TRev did. And leaving early all the time. Plumber said Trev is "well-known" in Napier, really? I wonder if he meant infamous. No, our guy is a Gary. Ken :) |

Now a few days ago I had complained about the time frame and excessive beer breaks and plumber said oh we'll negotiate a discount. So I deducted $500. Today plumber denies everything. Certain aspects of work to be done, the discount, the time frame, everything. He says - to builder - oh extra materials (I accounted for), plus rubbish (No, included), plus extra work (what, I let builder off some work, not added any), say extra $1500. I said no. Plumber says 2 weeks is normal to do a bathroom, they know, been doing it 11 years. Actually plumber became one in 2016, and started own business April 2019. I looked it up. I said I am not arguing, if he wants to, he can take it to Disputes. At which point they left. Also, builder told us he was to get $300 inc parts originally. Well, invoice says: Plumbing materials $395.00 Plumbing Labour $1,300.00 GST $254.25 Total $1,949.25 Builder materials $2,300.00 Builder labour $3,200.00 Extra building materials $360.00 GST $879.00 Total $6,739.00 $6,239.00 Less $500 for over time frame Invoice Total $8,688.25 Deposit Paid 1 Oct $4,137.13 To pay $4,551.12 Actually PAID remaining 16 November $4,051.12 $8,188.25 |
