Many might not even need a desktop, maybe not even a laptop, if all they do is go online and watch videos and read the news. Exceptions are gamers, videographers, photographers, illustration /audio artists .. etc. As a camera nerd, many of them only use a laptop for their hobby, some will have a NAS unit to backup their files etc .. I have found that to be too much hassle and just put in a standard HDD inside the machine and run a daily sync to a few folders plus 2 external drives. I have never bought a tablet. I found that I was happy with my phone and if needed more I could use my PC or laptop. The laptop does get like 3% of the usage only. A month might go pass and I don't turn it on. I did get a second hand one and put in a SSD. |
