1464794 2019-11-03 21:16:00 I signed up for a weeks trial early on after I had fibre installed . Was really disappointed in it . I was trying to watch the tennis at times and also the World Rally Champs . Both were really stuttering really bad . So I cancelled .

I still have access but only to their "Freemium" section, (probably as a tempter) Now, the rally cars rock on real smooth . I may hook up again, just for those two sports which I enjoy .

It is the future I suppose, so we just have to move with the times .

1464796 2019-11-07 22:27:00 Well for the cricket fans...I just noticed todays Blackcaps vs England is down the road a bit, here at the stadium today.
(No, we're not going)
Oh er...if we were, it's way better than Akld, they have blocked off some parks, but far easier here, and we would actually get into the main parking area, having a mobility card.

1464797 2019-11-07 23:16:00 IMO the Napier stadium is a terrible cricket venue. I went to the match at Saxton Oval on Tuesday - it's just fantastic. What you'd call a 'boutique' ground. 5,500 people there, embankments probably 75 - 80% full, everyone laxing out on blankets, bouncy castles for the kids, really is a great day out. You just don't get that atmosphere in a stadium.

But on topic - I don't think Spark 'stuffed' the RWC at all. Other than the first All Blacks game (which in my case was only minor buffering a few times) it was flawless for me. Starting to watch a game 'behind' and skipping forward at half time was smooth and easy - I even watched a game hotspotted to a laptop on mobile data - no issues at all. I think the main bulk of the issues were Smart TV apps being a bit buggy.

Being able to watch a game any time, on any device, and simply stop watching on one device and resume from where you left off on another device is great.

And since they went back to 50/60fps and upped the bitrate, the quality is awesome. They should hopefully only get better from here.

How do you know?
I went there once, but that was for a garden and outdoors show thing. Looked fine to me.

Comparing with Waitakere Stadium anyway....
never went to Mt Eden or any of those.
