| 1197511 | 2011-04-30 09:07:00 | Hone is going to force a by-election to stoke his ego, These cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, he should be billed for it. | Metla (12) | ||
| 1197512 | 2011-04-30 09:11:00 | n, Jerry Brownlee isn't much in my opinion, yet he's a Minister and liked. Go figure. People like him? Which people? I thought everyone thought he was a big fat dumb slug lumbering from grandstand to grandstand, offering nothing of value ,eating pies and slithering into the limelight.... That aside, I'm having trouble aligning the views you have expressed on race relations with your seemingly positive backing of Don Brash.:stare: |

Possibly he does not have $500,000 but he justifies same by saying the taxpayer is paying $36 million for a boat race so we can afford his by-election too. |

As for Brash's Orewa 2004 speech, just skimmed it again and its pretty mild. Labour immediately branded it as racist which was easy for the media. I don't quite agree with Brash but he's correct that ordinary Kiwis feel sidelined by the Treaty industry. As for Cuz Hone - what a waste of space. |

(On the News that I saw) He also burbled something about it being a small price to pay so that a politician can get a mandate from his electorate! |

Lurking . +1000 I am sick of these minor parties with there billion$ wish lists voter bribes holding the major parties to ransom . I generally believe NZ would be in a much stronger position if successive governments were not forced to deal with these minor parties . |

The lady speaker (I can not remember her name) was very good at keeping the naughty children in order. I came across this (www.bayofplentytimes.co.nz) article. |

| 1197519 | 2011-05-01 00:16:00 | The main problem with MMP in my opinion is that if a party gets 5% of the vote and no electorate seat, they get 5% of the total seats including electorate seats (IE: about 6 seats) they should only get 5% of the party seats (IE: 3 seats) that I think would be fairer it would stop the likes of the greens just going for the party vote. Perhaps a party should have to win one elecorate seat to get any party seats?????:) |

| 1197520 | 2011-05-01 00:53:00 | MMP is a dumb idea we copied from germany. Hell we were killing germans not long ago then we adopt their dumb system. The only reason the germans adopted it was to stop one party from getting to much power to govern alone like the National Socialist Party in the early 30s |
