| 1197461 | 2011-04-27 09:01:00 | If you don't like him, don't vote for him. It's that simple. Sadly it isn't that simple. Under MMP it had virtually nothing to do with how you and I voted - it was down to the fact that National stood aside and let the asinine fools in Epsom effectively vote in ?5 misguided wallaces from the Act Hidedom. Hide, the silver haired waka jumper from Johnsonville (Ohariu?), Anderton, and Peters (when he was still alive in Tauranga) have been voted in by fools in one electorate, and there is then a chance that other chancers come in on their coat tails. Like Douglas and the rest of that shower. All it needs is one electorate seat, and the Party that wins the seat gets to appoint a number of parasites according to the percentage of the party vote they have got. It doesn't matter if they get less than 5% if they get one solitary jacked up seat. Act and National are both unprincipled parties, and they will jack up a safe seat for Brash if he joins the party. I am just glad Brash's father (a deeply honourable man) isn't alive to see his name dragged through the mud by his ghastly son. |

But if I did like him ( which I don't for the record ) and he is not a candidate in my Electorate the only way to show support would be to give Act my Party vote I would think. Then in my own electorate I also can vote for any candidate and Act may not field a candidate as they don't really have a show in hell here. So is it that simple? |

It shows he is an opportunist as normally he would have to join the party and put some time in before trying to rumble the leader. I bet National are really backing this though. |

| 1197468 | 2011-04-28 02:39:00 | I see Hide has resigned as leader and Brash joins and takes over as leader for ACT...Does Brash have some compromising photos of Rodney? What happened....Arm wrestle or what? | SolMiester (139) | ||
| 1197469 | 2011-04-28 02:45:00 | I think it's funny. He's not a member of Act but thinks they should make him leader. I can see Rodneys point, he should perhaps join Act first..... I think he will be able to afford the membership fee. Its usually only $10 or $20 to join a political party. |

| 1197470 | 2011-04-28 02:49:00 | I"m sick of hearing about this $300 million a week. A government needs money to run and pay its bill and welfare etc, the army and the police, teachers and doctors etc. Governments have always borrowed money on the bond market. The USA borrows money The UK is You can't just cut the borrowing over night. Just like one of us, if we get into debt you cant get out of it over night. You have to earn more, spend less or sell something. |
