1225064 2011-08-23 23:13:00 Flash is adobe, I would check and see if its 10.3.183.5. If it isnt uninstall it then go to the adobe site and download the latest file manually Speedy Gonzales (78)

Try youtube using IE

Great! Thanks for that, I should have IE installed somewhere, I can't imagine MS letting it be left out.

OK, that was quick, Opened IE, found the video I wanted in YouTube, clicked on it and nothing happened. Zero, zilch, nada or just plain nuffin!! :(

Passed all but the Java 3D test, which I understand from the notes is only required for 3D rendering.

Should I install it? then what next? We seem to be getting to the pointy end anyway. Perhaps I have some system or operation blocked by accident?

I do not normally block anything unless it is first identified as a genuine threat by a reputable source (PF1 is good!) and confirmed via a furher web search if necessary, but this is still a relatively new computer and I may have missed something.

1225070 2011-08-24 04:16:00 Dont think you need Shockwave. Ive never installed it and YouTube is fine Speedy Gonzales (78)
1225071 2011-08-24 04:17:00 NoScript or AdblockPlus could be causing the problem or even Stylish if you have added styles for Utube.

Disable AdblockPlus and NoScript to check although the IE check indicates it is not a Firefox problem it could just be that you don't have the IE Flash version on your computer and it is actually still a blocking problem from within Firefox.

OK, tried that and YouTube reloaded the page, but it didn't make any difference.

Stylish was loaded (didn't know that) so it is now gone and I am about to close and reopen FF.

Cheers
