| 1225438 | 2011-08-23 21:52:00 | One of my customers gave me an old Linksys WRT-54GL router they used to use to provide a hotspot (flashed with DD-WRT I think). They don't know the IP address or password & it is not set to give out DHCP addresses. Any ideas on how to reflash this router? The 30/30/30 reset procedure didn't work & the instructions to put it into recovery mode didn't work. |

| 1225442 | 2011-08-24 20:29:00 | Those routers were a bit funny - you need to catch the router at the right time during the boot cycle, to get them reset. I think (and it's been a while since I've had to do it), when you plug in the router, all the lights will light up briefly, then go out and the power light will start flashing. I think you need to push and hold the reset button just after the initial lot of lights go out. |
