2011-08-25 12:51:00 | Been having a recurrent BSOD that didn't show the blue screen but just froze the current screen and I needed to manual restart. Put up with it for a while but I just got a disconnect for HoN so now it's really bugging me. Here's the log from blue screen viewer ================================================== Dump File : 082511-16458-01.dmp Crash Time : 25/08/2011 11:27:37 p.m. Bug Check String : Bug Check Code : 0x00000124 Parameter 1 : 0x00000000 Parameter 2 : 0x8674b4dc Parameter 3 : 0x00000000 Parameter 4 : 0x00000000 Caused By Driver : ntoskrnl.exe Caused By Address : ntoskrnl.exe+3224b3 File Description : NT Kernel & System Product Name : Microsoft® Windows® Operating System Company : Microsoft Corporation File Version : 6.1.7600.16841 (win7_gdr.110622-1503) Processor : 32-bit Crash Address : ntoskrnl.exe+3224b3 Stack Address 1 : ntoskrnl.exe+cf105 Stack Address 2 : ntoskrnl.exe+cff2f Stack Address 3 : ntoskrnl.exe+6e08b Computer Name : Full Path : C:\Windows\Minidump\082511-16458-01.dmp Processors Count : 2 Major Version : 15 Minor Version : 7600 Dump File Size : 131,072 ================================================== Thanks for your help,

2011-08-25 13:02:00 | That 0x000000124 stop error is a hardware fault. It maybe CPU-related. Is the BIOS on this the latest (non beta) BIOS? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2011-08-25 13:04:00 | Haven't updated the bios ever on this comp Also I should add that it happens specifically when watching videos and playing games so possibly gpu related?

2011-08-25 13:13:00 | Whats the brand / model of the mobo? Are you overclocking?? That'll cause this crash / stop error | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2011-08-25 13:20:00 | The motherboard is an asus p5k se/epu and stock voltages and frequencies for gpu and cpu | narutophantom (12610) | |
2011-08-25 13:27:00 | Oh ok so its not the one in your sig then. So, no overclocking on this one then? What BIOS is on it now?? Looks like its up to 0501 now | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2011-08-25 13:32:00 | This is a secondary comp the one in my sig works fine. I updated to the latest BIOS just now, 0501. As the BSODs are irregular I think I will just have to wait and see if (and when) the next one comes.

2011-08-25 13:38:00 | Try some of these (www.sevenforums.com). Did you set the settings in the BIOS to the default settings, then reconfigure them / save settings, then reboot? After you updated it? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
