1226058 2011-08-25 08:00:00 Hi

My Windows 7 systems doesn't allow me to see what's in C:\Documents and Settings (Error Message: not accessible - Access is denied) but I have indication that there is a folder in it named ReleaseEngineer.MACROVISION with 3 subfolders
\cookies\
\Local Settings\History\
\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\

I can't find any info that makes sense on the internet so I was wondering if somebody has some technical info about which software is using those folders?

Thanks in advance for anything!

1226059 2011-08-25 08:12:00 It may belong to Azureus / Vuze if this is installed (wiki.vuze.com). Looks like something that uses DRM has stuffed the registry / folders up Speedy Gonzales (78)

Yes, I found the relation to Azureus / Vuze on Google too. But that what is confusing me because I never ever had any of this software installed. There must be another link to those folders.
Is there a way I can see what the content of those folders is?

1226061 2011-08-25 11:40:00 Unzip this. Then double click on it to add it to the registry (www.howtogeek.com)

Then select that folder / right mouse / take ownership

1226062 2011-08-25 12:13:00 Got ownership control for the folders now. The sub-folders were empty. Looks like they have been generated but never actually used. Nevertheless, I deleted them just to make sure and all is still working as far as I can see.
Thanks very much for your prompt help.

1226065 2011-08-25 12:40:00 Yup its a good reg hack. Saves you stuffing around with the command prompt.

Found a good one to restart explorer.exe too. (www.thewindowsclub.com) Saves you having to open task manager to kill it. Just run a file, it adds it to the right mouse on the desktop. If you want to remove the command just run the file (you downloaded again). And click uninstall
