| 1199373 | 2011-05-04 10:50:00 | "....fuel companies say the price of refined oil has risen by 14% in the past six weeks and they can not absorb it any more" Yeah right...:annoyed: Have a look at the PDF file "Graphs.pdf" at the following link from the Ministry of Economic Developement www.med.govt.nz The cost of refined crude has been near stable the last few weeks according to Graph 1. The cost of oil in $US has gone up, but so has the $NZ, so in $NZ the price is near flatlined. Yes the importer margin has dropped recently, but only coming down from above the average. As for diesel, look at Graph 4. I would say the importers are doing rather well recently.....:angry |
