| 1199171 | 2011-05-03 10:35:00 | My son came for a holiday from UK and gave me a surplus digital camera. It is an Olympus C- 310 ZOOM Camedia, 3.2mp. I would like to get my wife taking her own photos with this and thought it would be a good chance to get her interested in photography. I have d/l the manual, put batteries in, (all lights up) but it needs an XD card. The manual says.....xd cards 16mb to 512 mb. I went to PB thinking to get a low mb card for cheap. "YOU'l BE LUCKY" . They had one card, 2gb for $44. I do not want to spend this much just to find out if I can get the camera to function, plus the 2gb is too high for the old cam. My ?. Does any one know where I can get an old (low spec) xd card cheap. I tried T.ME bUT NOTHING LOW ENOUGH. |

| 1199175 | 2011-05-03 14:15:00 | I believe that you are right in that only Olympus cards will do the wide angle picture thing. Older Olympus Camera's are restricted to I think 1gb cards, the newer models can take the bigger cards. Where in NZ are you.? If you get stuck, I am in Christchurch end of next week and I might have a 16mb card in my stock of old camera bits and pieces that if I can find, I could post to you. PM me if you are interested and we can work it out but it will be I think the 13th May, wee hours before I get in and probably that weekend before I can look for it. |
