| 1198829 | 2011-05-02 06:51:00 | All of my small online purchases from the USA have been made via garden-variety PayPal transfers, until my $US funds run dry. Is there a way I can top-up my PayPal account from my NZ savings bank account? If that's possible, how would I go about organising that? Thanks for any help! |

You can however attach a debit or credit card to the account, and this will be changed for the remaining balance when there are insufficient funds remaining in your PayPal account to cover your purchase. | Erayd (23)

Also if you have spare money left on your paypal in $US you can have that transfered directly into an NZ bank account. For under 100 us or nz (can't remember) there is a $1 NZ fee. Over 100 is free. It does take 3-7 days though. | icow (15313)
| 1198834 | 2011-05-02 11:34:00 | If your USA funds are in a USA bank account you will be able to transfer funds to it but will need to go into a bank to do it. | mikebartnz (21) | ||

| 1198836 | 2011-05-02 23:40:00 | Debit card is the best IMO, it's just like EFTPOS but you can use it almost anywhere a credit card is accepted. (Except car rentals, apparently) I have one from Westpac (the first bank here to have one AFAIK) - as soon as I saw the TV ad, I said "I need that" It's great, coupled wth PayPal it greatly expands your purchasing ability. Costs $10 a year but that's a very small fee compared to the convenience of it, and the fact you can't spend money you don't have and end up in debt. |
