2011-05-05 02:47:00 | Even that from here is expensive. And anywhere else - what a hassle - swapping buses/trains, even more money and it takes longer than I can drive it - in peak traffic. a) That monthly pass I stated gives unlimited travel between Papakura and Waitakere, which is the entire network bar one station, plus bus travel in the CBD. b) There is a city pass available, which allows for travel between Otahuhu and New Lynn inc. Onehunga, costing $115 for an adult c) As long as I get to my lecture on time (which I do), I'm not particularly fussed at the journey time, as I can do other things if I need to. I'm not criticizing, just playing a balanced argument. :)

2011-05-05 02:54:00 | Hopefully Len Brown gets his way with the government and we can have a shiny North Shore line :D I seriously doubt that Mr Brown will find funds for this project any time in the next ten years (if at all), let alone getting agreement on where the line should go and all the necessary consents from local residents. :pf1mobmini:

Sure I may get to the lecture 45min early but I just relax or play tetris on the phone, read the paper, surf mindlessly on the laptop or some more textbook/lecture note reading (or a repeat), what else might I be doing anyway? Back to back work non stop  to and from stepping into/out of the car. In the evenings I prefer to study in the library and get home 8 or 8.30pm every day. There is also less people that I like. Laptop batteries can last a good few hrs and then there are the PCs on campus. At home too many distractions and I am doing bugger all anyway, internet and TV or crap research on anything else that interest me :D |

2011-05-05 21:29:00 | Nothing much has changed. When the gauge gets to about 1/4 I chuck in $60 worth. It still lasts about down to the 1/4 mark same as it always did. My Model A was the best for economy, 5 bob's worth ran it for miles, until that Nordmeyer sod ruined it by putting gas up to two lawn cuts to the gallon. (About 4-1/2 cents/litre.)

2011-05-06 07:10:00 | Costs me about $140 to fill up and that last about 1.5 weeks of travel to and from school plus normal weekend travel, my last car on today's prices would do the same for about $80... | lagbort (5041) | |
