| 1199399 | 2011-05-05 01:56:00 | Not too much these days. Last time prices were this high, 08 or 09... I was spending close to 220$ a week. |

| 1199401 | 2011-05-05 02:20:00 | Too much And its not going to get cheaper long term the trend must be up. I don't think the oil companies like to put it up, as it affects their sales of other goodies eg choccies and drinks. If you feel broke filling your car you are not going to spend up large. I think at the moment we have to blame Ben Bernankce for pumping "money" into the US banking system which is being lent to speculators. Its a bummer as it takes away everyone discretionary spending money. Unless you are really well off. |

| 1199402 | 2011-05-05 02:24:00 | Dollars aren't really indicative the way the price of petrol has been over the last few months. I use about a tank a month (50L) for general running around. Have started to ride the bike to work now I have access to showers and changing rooms and now that the price of petrol has gone well past ridiculous... Yeah but I thought price was easier to know for people :D We use about a half a tank per week. Well that's subjective too cos diff cars have diff sized tanks ~ $50 per week for us. Personally I always use public transportation even if I need 2x buses, 1 to the CBD and another to uni. I get a ride if others are heading that way ... I think the psychological mark at $2 is over. People just pay up. Althou many might prefer to pay more than to take public transportation even if it was feasible for them. The take up diminishes ..... |

Public transport in Akld is useless unless you are going to and from the city. Even that from here is expensive. And anywhere else - what a hassle - swapping buses/trains, even more money and it takes longer than I can drive it - in peak traffic. |
