1198776 2011-05-02 04:51:00 now they'll have to find another "face" to use to justify invading other countries. These terrorists and weapons of mass destruction are everywhere and we should all be very afraid of going outside. Barnabas (4562)
1198777 2011-05-02 04:57:00 Poor guy,

He was just trying to live the dream, and just because it wasn't the American one, he gets killed.

Anyone who's living the dream has my support as a fellow dream liver.

Alllahhhhhhh alllahhhh hahhhahhhhh alllllllahhhhhhh, while I shoot my AK 47 in the air.

Cracked up at this reply.

1198780 2011-05-02 05:10:00 Good news.

But if anyone thinks it sounds the death knell for terrorism and the Taliban et al, I think they're sadly disillusioned.

Bin Laden was far too smart a commander not to plan for the probability of his sudden demise, so I'd imagine he would have a succession plan in place, and some trusted lieutenants to carry on.

Which means those who govern will have to find another scapegoat.

1198782 2011-05-02 05:17:00 one news report says that they have done a DNA test and are sure it's him.

my understanding of DNA testing was that it took about 12 hours of lab time?
and about a week of paper work :-)

Agreed that it won't change anything.
It is fitting though that Bin Laden has paid the ultimate price for his actions.

1198784 2011-05-02 05:33:00 interesting to see many leaders saying that the world is a safer place.

I would say the exact opposite, I expect that we will see a retaliation move of some kind.

1198785 2011-05-02 05:34:00 It would have saved many lives and billions of dollars if Bin Laden had been given diversion years ago.
It might have cost thousands of different lives, and many billions of different dollars, but if it is good enough for our justice system, why isn't the rest of the world trying it?
