1226664 2011-08-28 07:21:00 Hey Guys

I have a mate who sat on his iPod touch 4G and now has spider cracks on the bottom right. We got it sent to someone in Christchurch who quoted him $219 just to replace the front plate, and I know that's all I need to do. This seemed a little steep to me. Are their any recommendations out there you guys could let me know about??

Cheers

More seriously ... what about clear UV film that they use on windows (and in tinted form). It should be easy to apply and stop the cracks from extending further with the possibility it will hide them.

1226667 2011-08-28 08:38:00 IIRC, the iPhone 4 and 4G touch both have the digitiser bonded permanently to the back of the screen, meaning that what was on the previous models a fairly cheap and easy fix is now significantly more expensive as effectively both bits have to be replaced ( even though in practice it is one unit ) lagbort (5041)
