1199470	2011-05-05 00:15:00	Finally, the Commerce Commission have had some guts and have ordered mobile termination to drop. Those Telco monopolies Telecom and Vodafone have kept them high for years which has result in high mobile costs for all New Zealanders and made it hard for any new entrants eg 2 Degrees. This drop, may not result in a huge drop in our rates, but it will help 2 Degrees. The Telco's had their chance a few years ago when they offered to drop the rates voluntarily over a few years, but hardly did. Its a great day for all Kiwis Our mobile calling rates are known to be one of the highest in the world with the result that people do to make as many mobile calls as in other countries - hence all the texting.
