| 1199475 | 2011-05-04 23:40:00 | Its blatantly obvious looking at the test results they are flawed in a huge way. Why you may ask ? --- Norton Internet Security is sitting at Number 5, in stead of the normal "best there is " @ number 1. Every one knows the tests usually show Norton as #1 :clap PS: For those who didn't cotton on - I'm being sarcastic :p  Edited: on a more serious note -- Seen lately ALL the anti-malware programs are having troubles stopping the latest round of infections, Doesn't matter which ones they are, the infections are still getting past. |

| 1199477 | 2011-05-05 01:48:00 | Wouldnt surprise me if MS lost interest in their AV & it started getting worse. They dont have a good track record with AV products (previous to MSSE) The worst issue with symantec AV products is the long term effect it has on Windows. We've all seen many PC's brought to their knees by Symantec AV or security suites. Im not sure why AVG AV install file now needs to be big. Becoming bloatware ?? I can confirm just how bad the AV at the bottom of the list is, I was forced to sell it for a while. I ended up just refusing to. Nod32 isnt the Panacea that many claim. Its far from perfect-but admittedly better than most. I find it hard to sell Nod32 when freeware AV works just as well in real life. The nasty bugs just get through any AV's , no program can protect from user stupidity- its that simple . :-) |
