| 1199088 | 2011-05-03 05:18:00 | My daughter was at the Mall when it hit, but she was on the downstairs level, so was OK. My daughter's car was in the upstairs level car park, and when I last heard she was off up there to see if she still had a car. My son in law saw it coming towards his work, but it veered away. Fortunately the daycare where one or both of their children were today was missed by the twister. What is going on? Is it a plague of locusts next? |

| 1199093 | 2011-05-04 05:55:00 | We didn't get the spiral draught, but we got some rain that had to be tasted to be sure it wasn't a high tide. The house busting bit missed here by 3 KM. The heaviest rain came during bright sunshine. |

| 1199094 | 2011-05-04 06:04:00 | My daughter was in the Farmers store in the mall, and she said it just exploded in front of her. She thought it was a bomb and was sure she was going to die. Fortunately she was unhurt, and her car was OK even though it was in the carpark where other cars were overturned or blown away. It took her ages to get out of the carpark and across to daycare. The daycare centre heard another tornado was on the way, so they shut all the parents and kids inside one room and pulled all the curtains until the risk passed. My other daughter in WA reckons it would be safer if we all moved over there... They only get plagues of locusts, forest fires, snakes, and sharks in WA. Did you see there is a Kiwi who was in Lousiana for the floods, ChCh for the earthquakes, and now Albany for the tornado? Her friends reckon she is a disaster magnet. She ought to take a lottery ticket... Soon. |
