| 1227060 | 2011-08-30 07:27:00 | Anyone know how to use one of these? I have been trying to help someone get on the net with one. Brand new Laptop, Win 7. IE 9 doesn't seem to want to shake hands with it. Very frustrating for me and the person I'm trying to help. :badpc: I'll be seeing her again tomorrow, so if anyone has any tips I'd appreciate it. Yes drivers are installed ok There is an icon on the desktop for it and when you plug the stick into the USB port, it says that it is ready, then click the icon to connect. Ok, so I click the icon and it says "Connecting". So far so good, but then when I open IE it comes up with Page cannot be displayed. I guess I may have to ring Telecom back again and see if they can help. LL |

| 1227066 | 2011-08-30 08:17:00 | It is an MF 181. I did notice that the connection manager showed itself very briefly in the lower right hand corner and then faded away. I must be doing something wrong. Think I'll just ring the help tomorrow, or try the chat. In the meantime she can use the dial up connection. She just wanted to be able to use the T stick when she's away at friend's place who is internet deprived, lol. LL |

| 1227067 | 2011-08-30 08:20:00 | How long have you been trying? I purchased a Telstra one in Aussie and it wouldnt work either. After a huge struggle with their help desk, which is every bit as useless as Telecom, I was told it would take 4hrs to sort itself out. 4 Days later it did. :angry Taking the laptop and T stick to a Telecom/Telstra shop and telling them to fix it or refund your money is often the best way. |

She bought the laptop and T-stick yesterday morning and I went there today to try and get it working. I think she would have been better to just get a bb connection imho. Turned out to be a real mission, I'm not familiar with Win 7 and never seen a T-stick before in my life, lol! Live and learn eh? LL |
