1200039 2011-05-07 02:19:00 We all know a Scot, right. They're the ones that, no matter how many decades they've been away from "Bonnie Sco'land", they never loose they're accent! At another extreme of the evolutionary scale there is voice recognition software - say it and it will be so! The astute amongst you will will immediately see where this is going....Enter the voice controlled lift (www.youtube.com).

Ok, this next one is an advert from a Tech company, but given the way the technology is advancing, this could be us (well those of you with a half decent broadband infrastructure – part of NZ's keep it green philosophy seems to be keeping us in the broadband twilight zone) in a couple of years (www.youtube.com)! (On a pragmatic level the ad's a bit unrealistic in that there isn't a single overweight person in it! Can't remember when I was in a situation like that).

1200042 2011-05-07 07:00:00 Our work phone exchange uses voice recognition to identify who you wish to speak to and then put you through to that extension. You can tell who are having trouble with this program as they start shouting down the phone. :D Jen (38)
