| 1199966 | 2011-05-06 23:42:00 | Can you just plug it into a USB port on a monitor and go? Otherwise it's not much use if you have to have a computer too... | johcar (6283) | ||
| 1199967 | 2011-05-06 23:50:00 | ...it IS the computer plug in a keyboard or mouse one end (or both with a hub) and a monitor the other |

| 1199969 | 2011-05-07 02:02:00 | You beat me tuit zqwerty. Here's what I was putting together in connection with something else. "And for the real geeks amongst you, how about a working computer for 15 quid?! We've had the Apple, and who can forget Ronnie Corbett's Blackberry not working (www.youtube.com). Now, apparently, we're going to get the Raspberry pi (www.geek.com) all on a USB stick (read the article if you can't be bothered with the video. It highlights the shortfall in Computer Science undergrads in both the UK and here, because of "ICT" in schools)" |

I think it'd probably be better if, somewhere down the line, they can put AMD APU's in boxes the size of external hard drives (1 . 5in or 2 . 5in is good) . That'll probably extend its usefulness . But SSD chips are so expensive, and the price'll probably go through the roof . . . Nevertheless they can still offer SD + USB port for external HDD for storage options . |

But it would only need a very small 5v one. I guess it would depend on how many USB devices you used with it and how much power each device takes. But i'd say a 1a 5v power pack would be loads. These are reasonably small. |

Like if you plugged it into the usb slot on a monitor would it get power from the monitor power ok? How would it all connect up if you wanted to browse web. Lets say I have a monitor and this here stick how would it say connect to a vodem? and keyboard |

| 1199974 | 2011-05-08 00:53:00 | As I said, it has a usb input and a usb output - so the usb input - with a hub - would be capable of having a k/board and vodem stick - and a mouse too if needed (I would presume) | bevy121 (117) | ||
