1228028 2011-09-03 08:48:00 Yup window's built in burning has been crap since XP. Only thing that does work is the ISO burning in Vista / Win7

Really? It managed to screw up last time I tried it.

X2 vote for Imgburn.

Select photos to burn, copy them to another folder, then browse (clicking the unlabelled icon to do so) and select Burn.

In WLPG, simply click File -> Burn. :illogical

You don't need to copy anything to a new folder, I don't know what you're doing, but it's not how I use Imgburn.

1228030 2011-09-03 10:57:00 Since the problem is dependant on the user profile, you may find it faster\easier to set up a new user profile, copy the files over, and delete the old one, than trying to actually figure out what the problem is.

Not the best approach I guess, but I for one have no clue how to fix Windows' burning issues. I don't even use it so mine could be faulty without me even knowing.

1228031 2011-09-03 11:35:00 Same here. I use Nero because thats the burning program I know how to use.

1228032 2011-09-03 13:12:00 I dont use the ISO burning in Windows either, I use Poweriso, or CdburnerXP (now that it works). If you use CDburnerXP (and it doesnt find the burner), you need to install Intel Matrix Storage Manager (For Intel systems - so I found out. I had to install Intel Rapid Storage Technology) according to the CDburnerXP site, and it worked, or AMD Raid Drivers (For AMD systems, according to the CDburnerXP site) Speedy Gonzales (78)

Why do you need to copy them to another folder? You just select them, the act of choosing them and burning does not alter them in any way.

Sorry no help with Windows because it's what I have told everyone with a problem with it, and never use it myself.

1228034 2011-09-03 23:48:00 Doesn't Imgburn have a "burn with Imgburn" shell extension or is that only for burning ISO images etc? Agent_24 (57)
1228035 2011-09-03 23:52:00 It doesn't in WLPG. And I'm really not sure why I copied files to another folder... pcuser42 (130)
