1200136 2011-05-08 01:12:00 Seems to be in the news a lot:

Invercargill businessman Louis Crimp. Southern Equities is owned by Mr Louis Crimp, an Invercargill builder.

A former city councillor Crimp is a colourful character who outrages readers of the Southland Times by writing letters to the editor about "the looting of New Zealand by Maori," and his fellow townsfolk by fighting development battles with the city council.

High-profile Invercargill businessman Louis Crimp said he thought he was going to die when he crashed his $124,000 Jaguar this week.

Mr Crimp was not injured, but the 2004 XJ Jaguar suffered extensive damage after the collision with a truck on Mill Rd South and Oteramika Rd at Seaward Bush.

Invercargill- Beware of Louis Crimp He is as dodgy as they come and will only do something if it will line his own pockets. Ask any of the business owners he has sent bankrupt and walked away from, there were two well known timber yards in town that this applies to, one of which used to be where Noel Leemings are now. Dont let the fact that he bought that house for an over inflated price "for the charities sake"' its all a P.R stunt to make the latest generation of southerners, who dont know him, think he is a good bloke. Ask any of the older generation in town and you will find this shysters real colours.

on alleged misdoings in the Christchurch Casino.
[Louis] Crimp had been heard in a cubicle with a woman making noises which disturbed other guests. … Crimp had explained he had been helping a young woman who was having an asthma attack.

Tim Shadbolt:
When I was elected as Mayor of Invercargill in 1993 one of my first assignments was completing the last of three dams that surround our city. That may sound simple enough, but the land we needed to build the dam on was owned by Louis Crimp who at that time had launched several lawsuits against the City Council over a whole range of issues. As
we all know, Louis can be as stubborn as a mule at Gallipoli but after appealing to his patriotism and sense of loyalty to Invercargill, a compromise was reached and construction of the dam could proceed.

1200137 2011-05-10 20:58:00 Businessman Louis Crimp in the empty Mongrel Mob headquarters on Severn St, Invercargill .

Invercargill's Mongrel Mob members have abandoned their gang headquarters, with the fortified property yesterday reclaimed by its rightful owner .

City businessman Louis Crimp was in the process of getting High Court orders to evict the Mob members from their Severn St digs, having realised last year he owned the property and had received no mortgage payments since 1988 .

1200140 2011-05-12 01:15:00 Yesterday, bargain hunters and curious onlookers began making their way to the house from 4am following an open invitation from Mr Crimp .

However, by the afternoon the Invercargill City Council had placed a red sticker on the Severn St building declaring it unsafe .

1200145 2011-05-13 02:06:00 Demolition marked the final chapter in the Mongrel Mob's 23-year association with an Invercargill street after the vacated gang pad was razed in a suspicious fire yesterday.

See here (www.stuff.co.nz).

This is the third Gang Pad to be burnt by arson in Invercargill that I know of.
