1201713 2011-05-12 08:07:00 Apple computers are used on most Soap Operas.
Does Apple supply them as props, and do they really work or just display files on the screen?

1201714 2011-05-12 10:27:00 depends on the show, my mate works on one of the soaps (runs at 7pm on TV2) and said that most are working Macs that get used as props. ronyville (10611)

Last year the windows logo was on many computers and phones that appears in TV shows, so the companies do pay for the product placement. I saw a new TV program recently and they were using a laptop that must have been 15 years old which didn't have any logos on it, which is what happens when they don't have a sponsor for the show, and have to use old computer props.
But there is other product placement in the shows too, and many movies, it is how they make their money. The commerical breaks aren't the only place they advertise.

1201718 2011-05-12 21:45:00 I watched the very first episode of that crap thats on at 7 on ch2. I'd never seen anything that could compare, it was crap crap crap. I was forced to watch it one other time when I was away on a fishing trip with a bunch with a bunch of blokes. I couldn't believe it when some of them wanted to watch that when we got back to the lodge lol. So I've seen it twice Phil B (648)
