| 1201645 | 2011-05-16 01:39:00 | Mikebartnz Emotions have nothing to do with this issue - just facts. The Police obtained sufficient evidence that would prove Tamihere guilty. The "evidence" was obtained using a search warrant. How it was found was deemed inadmissible in the court. Forget the conspiracy theories :) |

| 1201646 | 2011-05-16 02:12:00 | I'm with mikebartnz on this. There should not be the possibility of a miscarriage of justice due to stuff ups by the police who are supposed to be professional in their approach to investigate crimes. I am not saying that Tamihere did not have any involvement but there is a theory that an accomplice may have been involved as well and if that was the case then we would want to see him/her convicted as well would we not. The adversorial system that we operate under in NZ could well be changed to the inquisitorial system used in France which, in my opinion, appears to be more designed to get at the truth. There is also something to be said for the Scottish system which allows for verdicts of not proven as well as guilty or not guilty. As things stand a verdict of not guilty does not always imply innocent which seems strange as all parties are presumed to be innocent unless proven guilty by the prosecution. |

You could get hold of a copy of the November 2010 edition of Investigate and read the article there but I doubt you will go to the effort. You seem to like telling people who have a different view from you that they have muddled thinking etc. It does your arguments no good. You make me think of the police who sometimes make the proof fit the criminal and ignore everything else. You are the one talking conspiracies and not me. |

Yes apparently Investigate said Aliens did it, and Investigate still had a stronger case than the Police now have since the body was found somewhere it couldn't have been according to their version of events in Court. |
