1229723 2011-09-08 08:56:00 If you can't afford some new gear you are better off using what you have until you can afford to get something reasonable. Stretching what you have will cost you more in the long run, because in a short time you will find you are in the same position again( and not enough time to save up for something better!). In your case I would look out for something on trademe. You need to do some research and find out what is required by the games you want to play, and be prepared to lose out on a few auctions. 1229731 2011-09-08 10:25:00 Umm i havent heard of the 7550 so i guessed it was a 260 or similar. That build you put you at $300ish plus dvd drive and wifi card. Are you intending on running win7? if so upgrade to 4gb ddr3. I would personally spend as much on the cpu as possible considering the fact your not buying a separate gpu. icow (15313)
1229732 2011-09-08 10:32:00 Might be this (www.ebay.com). An AM2 CPU. Somehow I don't think the mobo supports AM2. According to this (www.asus.co.nz). And that CPU isnt listed under CPU support list Speedy Gonzales (78)
