| 1201612 | 2011-05-14 00:39:00 | I don't think that in this case evidence was faked . There wasn't any . The only connection to the alleged crime was that he stole the Swedes car . The Police also alleged that the wrist watch that Tamahere had belonged to one of the Swedes, but when they found the body the watch was still on his wrist! Tamahere should never have been convicted of murder . As for the Police faking evidence, there have been numerous cases including Arthur Allen Thomas . Just because Tamahere has a long criminal record this does not make him a murderer . Who is to say that the female didn't murder the male and then made herself scarce, as she would? |

The evidence obtained by the Police (but later deemed inadmissible in court because of the search warrant debacle) was more that enough to hang Tamahere - period. |
