NOW COMES THIS: CDC Warns Public to Prepare for 'Zombie Apocalypse' Are you prepared for the impending zombie invasion? That's the question posed by the Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention in a Monday blog posting gruesomely titled, "Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse." And while it's no joke, CDC officials say it's all about emergency preparation. "There are all kinds of emergencies out there that we can prepare for," the posting reads. "Take a zombie apocalypse for example. That's right, I said z-o-m-b-i-e a-p-o-c-a-l-y-p-s-e. You may laugh now, but when it happens you'll be happy you read this, and hey, maybe you'll even learn a thing or two about how to prepare for a real emergency." The post, written by Assistant Surgeon General Ali Khan, instructs readers how to prepare for "flesh-eating zombies" much like how they appeared in Hollywood hits like "Night of the Living Dead" and video games like Resident Evil. Perhaps surprisingly, the same steps you'd take in preparation for an onslaught of ravenous monsters are similar to those suggested in advance of a hurricane or pandemic. What about weapons to defend yourself: a shotgun (and ammo) to blow of zombies' heads, a samurai sword to cut off zombies' heads, a chainsaw to cut off zombies' heads... 1203171	2011-05-19 00:28:00	I got a chain saw! Got a few chain saws really! All gassed and sharpened up . Never knew they were Peri-Active Zombie Invasionary though! Might be able to cobble up a machete too . Guns? No . I remember Bill Cosby when he was talking about hand-to-hand combat training: "During bayonet training, one of the green recruits asked that if the bayonet got stuck in the ribs of the enemy, how would he get it out? The instructor said to fire off a round and it would dislodge . 'If I've got a bullet left, why would I want to get close enough to need a bayonet?' was the next question . " Gotta try to get an explanation about hand-to-hand combat with a chainsaw too . The biggest I have has a 24 inch blade .	SurferJoe46 (51)

1203178	2011-05-19 15:14:00	I have spend a life time preparing for a zombie apocalypse . My bunker is secure, I have enough food to last a dozen lifetimes (or for trade, whichever comes first) . If any of you guys are wet and cold, give me a PM and I'll let you guys in . I've got a mini-nuclear reactor set up to provide power (and plumbing) . . .
