1202761 2011-05-19 07:53:00 If there is no 'turn left only' lane, I don't signal left, that way I am round the corner and gone without holding up any traffic. On-coming traffic traffic treat me as as if coming straight ahead. At a T junction or Cross roads the 'give way to the right' rule applies.

I have thought of blanking off the left front indicator. This way, only the car behind me will know what I intend to do.:stare:

Hopefully you will be done for failing to signal sooner or later.

1202763 2011-05-19 08:18:00 I must admit if there's a dirty great truck waiting to turn right & I'm wanting to turn left, I don't indicate either. Aside from that I try to indicate in good time to give the opposing traffic time to bugger off outta my way before I get there Phil B (648)
1202764 2011-05-19 09:58:00 I am sure that it is written in the road code that you must indicate your intention to turn a few seconds before you do so. Bobh (5192)
1202765 2011-05-19 14:55:00 There are so many **** drivers on the road already, no rule change will stop any of them. rob_on_guitar (4196)

It is. The Road Code states you must indicate for at least three seconds if possible.

The only time I can think of that not being possible is when exiting a small roundabout ;)
