1203088 2011-05-18 11:32:00 I did come across an article where an atheist was offering to look after peoples pets after 21 May 2011. He was charging $135 in advance. I think I will leave my money in my bank so that I can use it next week.:D

1203089 2011-05-18 21:44:00 For anyone who believes the world is going to end on May 21 this year, I am more than happy to take all their cash off them now. And I will also GUARANTEE them entrance to heaven for their generosity and foresightedness...

Sorry Johcar, some one beat you to it:

In this morning's Sideswipe:

Apocalyptic enterprise
"Are you attending the Rapture on May 21?" asks the classified ad. "I expect to be left behind when it happens, so if you aren't going to need your worldly possessions, be they money, cars, canned food, durable goods etc, I would gladly take them off your hands. Serious responses only, please. And remember time is short ... Am willing to travel for said goods." (Source: New York Craigslist).

Or did you get the NZ Franchise? :D

1203090 2011-05-18 22:04:00 Well, if the world ends, so long and thanks for all the fish. :punk

By the way, apparently sworn atheists aren't affected by this small inconvenience on Saturday (there's fallas who set up a business in the States to look after the pets of those who think they'll be judged by the Almighty, so if you transmogrify yourself to a goldfish, you too won't be affected (and have a rather tranquil lifestyle filled with castles and trees :D)

I have the Auckland franchise, because I'm concerned that if I had to use air travel to collect the goodies, I may find myself 30,000 feet in the air at the time of the Rapture - and if the pilot is a believer, that would make my recently obtained worldly riches fairly meaningless, as I do not know how to land a plane .

Plenty of goodies to be had in Auckland (Remuera, Parnell, St Heliers, Herne Bay) . . . .

Having the pilot being a believer would be the least of your worries.

Having a few thousand feet of continual solid concrete to land on is what you would really need :lol::lol:

1203093 2011-05-18 23:04:00 Landing a plane is easy to do anywhere. Surviving the landing is another matter entirely. Snorkbox (15764)

I wonder if you could get in touch with the publishing companies to see if they have produced a version of 'Flying a Passenger Jet for Dummies' yet .

You would really need to be a fast reader and do a crash course on this . :help::D

1203097 2011-05-19 00:06:00 Well, I did do one of those Flight Experience simulations about 18 months ago and managed to take off and land OK in simulated Hong Kong (old and new airports), simulated Queenstown and simulated Sydney (in a simulated snowstorm). Lots of fun, but doing it for real might be a bit intimidating... johcar (6283)
