1230749 2011-09-15 00:16:00 It's also fine on Win8. :D

The Eset developers seriously must have had some contact with MS - the interface fits perfectly with Win8's.

1230750 2011-09-15 01:47:00 I did go over the top. Might have another go when I get brave (and some time) and do it from scratch instead.
Haven't had a look at their forum to see if there's any comments yet, I'll look later.
First time I've had a mess that big with NOD.

1230751 2011-09-15 02:06:00 Did you use the removal tool to clean out the broken installation? wratterus (105)
1230752 2011-09-15 04:42:00 No. Won't run in safe mode, did it manually. pctek (84)
1230753 2011-09-15 04:46:00 The removal tool does - it's very good...

1230754 2011-09-15 04:59:00 Hi
I am not sure you people might be making a rod for your own back--My v4 was upgraded to v5 --by downloading the "trial version" and where required the option to re register or go to trial mode is right there
I can make a cock up all too easily, so when this went in effortlessly I went looking for what I did wrong ! ;-)
Nope, all sweet and I did not even have to re enter the code etc- all done from within

Dunno, just reporting, will have to have a poke around Windows and see what happened.

1230757 2011-09-15 10:33:00 Tried doing an over the top install (AV only, not the suite) on my rig from version 4.2.7.12 however it blue screened my PC. Did it a second time as well after rebooting. Like pctek I will attempt to remove existing and do a clean install when I get time. For now I'll stick with v4 southern_jas (4017)
1230758 2011-09-16 00:10:00 Version 5 does not disable real time scanning when you tell it to. I installed Version 5 & found the computer had mywebsearch installed, so I disabled real time scanning & ran the MyWebSearch uninstaller. NOD32 still blocked it & I had to uninstall NOD in order to properly remove MyWebSearch. Greven (91)
