1230223 2011-09-10 09:18:00 These are the likely faults:

1) Battery dead

2) Boot loader broken.

3) Motherboard dead/dead circuit.

What exactly were you doing before it died? Is it on a custom firmware/bootloader?

Nothing out of the ordinary. Running a custom rom which has been working fine since I got the phone. I hadn't done anything out of the ordinary. Just picked it up and it wouldn't turn on.

1230225 2011-09-10 09:23:00 Try another battery, or send it back. sahilcc7 (15483)

Looks like I'll have to send it back. Hopefully it is still covered because they won't be able to tell that it's rooted because it uh err won't turn on.

1230227 2011-09-10 09:27:00 I sent my jailbroken ipod touch that died to apple, they never noticed and replaced it.

Also try a USB jig. It might force the phone into recovery, so you can reflash.

Any idea where I could get a jig from?

1230229 2011-09-10 09:30:00 eBay or Trademe. sahilcc7 (15483)
1230230 2011-09-10 09:35:00 www.ebay.com.au

Reckon that would work?

1230231 2011-09-10 09:37:00 Yep, just not 100% sure because the phone is not turning on at all. But definitely worth a shot. sahilcc7 (15483)
1230232 2011-09-10 09:44:00 Brilliant, cheers for that. Hopefully that arrives in the next few days. Won't hurt to have one lying around anyway. xyz823 (13649)
