Try resetting the default browser back to IE. Also go into msconfig and make sure every thing thats not needed is unticked to run on startup.

@ Speedy: By the time i got teamviewer downloaded and installed it had turned itself off (again).
Is there a way that I can just reinstall windows over the top of itself, It appears to me that the OS is screwed up. Also the computer seems stable running other anything but windows. I might put the install dvd in and leave it running on the main menu for about 1hr and see if it shuts itself down again. 		icow (15313)

1230125 2011-09-10 09:07:00 Yeah I built it myself. All the connections are plugged in. I traced some of the drivers that where causing the errors back to turecrypt and lcd studio. I have uninstalled both programs.

EDIT: Upon closer looking I found that one of the PCI-E cables going to my gfx card was half plugged in. Windows seems to load faster now. I still get a small amount of lag in explorer just after startup. But overwise appears to be working better. 		icow (15313)
