1203491 2011-05-20 15:48:00 About the only social site I have running is Buzz, and it just seems to grab the pixs I put in my Picasa netbooks and posts them there. OK I guess, no harm, no foul so far. SurferJoe46 (51)
1203492 2011-05-20 21:54:00 Don't be lulled into joining Stalkbook, it is the devil incarnate. You will forever regret it if you join gary67 (56)
1203493 2011-05-20 21:56:00 Well ........ it could be the next form of excitement that's missing in my life. SurferJoe46 (51)
1203494 2011-05-20 21:57:00 It will be about as exciting as hearing that rubber glove go snap as you walk through customs gary67 (56)

1203497 2011-05-20 22:32:00 It's the way society is informing the masses these days. Join in or be left behind.

I would have thought people who frequent a computer forum would be up for change but judging from the "I hate Facebook" comments that so often pop up from those who have nothing to add to threads but proclaiming their dislike I am obviously wrong.

Like the I hate Apple threads that pop up from time to time. Or Planking. We who do like things you hate don't really care whether you hate it or not we are enjoying using it - giggling at the Luddites ;)

1203498 2011-05-20 22:42:00 Was THAT as socially relevant post? I missed it if it was. SurferJoe46 (51)
1203499 2011-05-20 22:45:00 I might be a luddite but I prefer not to have my personal information splashed around by Facebook. I also prefer to be able to remove any information that I might post and not have to jump through hoops like a deranged poodle to do so. I am on Facebook but don't have my own account SWMBO mentions me occasionally on hers. I have yet to meet anyone who actually knows the meaning of social meeting who is on facebook. My friends know i'm not on there and the reasons why, they accept that and don't try and con me into joining that anti social website.

I fail to see why so many people are so gullible about what facebook will do with all that personal information they hold in the future, I call it he Ostrich effect. Maybe I am being left behind maybe I'm not, I read the news everyday and I don't need a stalking website to help me. Maybe if all those advocates for facebook stopped to think for a while instead of blindly following the masses the world would actually be a better place, it was that level of gullibility that made the propaganda industry so effective in Germany in the 30's

Then don't put it on there - I haven't put my address on there

...the delete button doesn't work? :stare:

anti social website.

Hardly antisocial, for some people it's the only method of communication...
