| 1203150 | 2011-05-19 02:24:00 | We have that here already for heavy vehicles. We call it road user charges (RUC). I could imagine the uproar here if they introduced it for all vehicles including cars. Road-user charges are charged on all road-legal diesel-powered vehicles. |

| 1203151 | 2011-05-19 08:51:00 | All vehicles will submit to odometer readings twice a year, and for an inspection fee of only $65.00 the mileage will then be transmitted to Sacramento to be computed and a bill be set to the registered owners of that vehicle according to the miles-traveled. $65 just to read a speedo. Do they have to teach them first. What happens if you end up doing 90% of your travel outside California. |

| 1203155 | 2011-05-19 15:14:00 | California vehicle registration = California RUT. Fortunately, as a dual-state resident I can skirt this with my Arizona vehicle registrations. The cents-per-mile hasn't really been set yet, but it will be substantial. Ever heard the word: 'freeway'? That's the term applied to California super highways. Well - there are some freeways that are chargung tolls here. They were built with fuel tax fees and they were built by Cal-Trans employees (tax paid) and they are manned by private employees paid by the Cal-Trans taxes, and yet they require dashboard installed electronic transducer passes to drive on them. |

Sounds to me the Ozzys are light years ahead. |

I claim it going into Riverhead and Woodhill forest to work on logging equipment. Takes about 3 months to get the cheque though. |
