| 1230745 | 2011-09-14 20:13:00 | Well. Thought I'd install the V5 AV after reading this last night. It munted Windows. I had a NOD window with no contents. LAN came to a grinding halt. Explorer.exe hung. Nothing worked. What a mess. Had to take it out manually in Safe Mode (cause of course they use .msi which doesn't work in safe mode) and now I have put V4 back. |

I tried to put the beta over the top / upgrade from V4 , but it failed - i sent in a bug report, and got a reply back a few days later saying they were working on that bug (several had reported it) The RC then went straight in over the existing Beta. When I put the finished version in, I'll be removing the RC completely. If you have an existing licence user name and password that still works fine with V5 -- Unlike other (no names mentioned) AV's they dont charge you for an upgrade. |

| 1230748 | 2011-09-14 22:15:00 | I've installed it on 10+ PCs yesterday and today, all installing over top (upgrading) and have had no issues at all. Really like it, I used one of the earlier RC versions and it was a tad buggy, but the final product looks to me to be excellent. Would be really interested if you figure out exactly what went wrong with yours, PC. | wratterus (105) | ||
