1204557 2011-05-24 08:28:00 Anyone here into tap dancing ?

Tomorrow is National Tap Dancing Day in the US, en.wikipedia.org

One of the greatest who inspired many was Bill 'Bojangles' Robinson

Fred Astaire honoured Bill Robinson in his Bojangles of Harlem ( www.box.net)

Tap dancing on a record has always struck me as rather odd, a bit like the goons riding on coconut shells on radio. :)

1204562 2011-05-25 01:26:00 Tap dancing is an excellent way to spend a Saturday night. At our local tavern they have 10 taps in a row. Each one of our group take a turn at "shouting" a round from the first tap, then the second, and so on. No tap to be missed out! There are some very entertaining results, believe me. Towards the end of the evening there is the real dancing. :) :) :) BobM (1138)
