1203882 2011-05-21 04:44:00 Ok its about the power company i use . . . . . . . . . . . they have sent me another letter saying i need to up my $$ i pay ( i direct credit every fortnight)over the summer i payd till i was in multiple credit $$$$ since then i changed it so i could still pay a small amount and when i knew my energy use kicks up a notch i up my payments . . . . . . . . . . . . and get back on the trail of getting into credit .

currently i am nearly zilch credit, and so have just kept paying and if need top up payments as i have not change my auto payments . . . . . . . . . . . i have not ever i think got to the cutting off stage from the power company . . . . . . . . . . .

so i had been on the idea of changing the payment when i get some other things out of the way, i never have the time or $$ to fiddle lots with the $$ so this is where the energy company comes in . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . they have sent me 2 letters saying i have to up my $$ by double for the payments because of my projected year to comes use . . . . . . . . . . . . . . if i do not up the dollars i may lose some of my prompt payment discuounts or worse get into the red and have them cut me off . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

i see red here . . . . . . . . . . . . i have been a great customer, i have probably made them money while being in credit . . . . . . . . . and i pay regularly, i have power and gas with them, and have used them the whole time i have lived in this house, and in the past at other house's . . . . . . .

i have a great credit history and they tell me i am at risk of being a bad customer . . . . . . . . . . . . because my direct credits i pay are or have been up till now keeping me in the black and i should be thanked not sent 2 letters shouldnt i?

sigh . . . . . . . .

a grumpy beetle who does the best i can, im not made of money but i keep my nose clean and pay my bills on time or before i need to often . . . . . . . . .
i should be a coveted customer . . . . . . . .

do you get letters like this? are you a good customer? i know money is tight every where, and bills always get paid before food is bought in this house . . . . . . . but come on where is compassion for people? or is it a massed produced computer letter?

1203883 2011-05-21 05:01:00 Some officious twerp that is about to lose your energy supplier a good customer will probably never know that you have switched, or why, unless . . . . . . . . (Dots borrowed for the occasion, please return to stock after reading . )
Show their letter to some of the other suppliers, and ask 'em to quote pricing, binding for the next 12 months, then pick the best offer . Send copies of the correspondence to the most virulent of your last provider's shareholders, and the customer relations rep . of all the other suppliers .

I pay my bill when it comes, the amount that it is . Not the due date, the day I get it .
I changed to Energy Online because A)More or less same price as previous company B)20% prompt payment discount

If some snotty power com sent me letters like yours I'd change companies immediately . You're not behind, tell them to stick it up their arse .

1203887 2011-05-21 06:00:00 Beetle, work out which is the best power company for you to use here. (www.consumer.org.nz) I use Energy Online as mentioned above because of the 20% discount. Last time I checked them on powerswitch they were the second too cheapest. The cheapest company would of saved me $2 a month.

That's a good site, but interestingly, we just signed up with another energy company and when our current company rang to try to talk us out of it (they couldn't, the deal with the new one was too good, saving us on average $30 a month!), when I mentioned PowerSwitch, the rep said that if you're looking around, you're better to go to all the individual power company sites for comparison figures because PowerSwitch isn't always up-to-date.

1203890 2011-05-21 06:25:00 Wow . . . . . . . . . . . . i was sorta expecting to get jumped on . . . . . . . but ya surprised me again . . . . . . . .

I would love to pay on the day into the bank but alas my finacnces are a bit scew at the moment and in the past the direct credit thing has always worked lovely . . . . . . . . . so my credit on the bill is nearly zilch . . . . . . but youre expecting me to budget now for the next year by paying this much now$$$$ and carry on with this much for the next year . . . . . .

I just might change power providers . . . . . . . as for the last 6 reading the meter reader now leaves a note on the door, . . . . . . . im not home and i have a dog, so cannot access the door, please read the meter and ring it in . . . . . . blah blah blah . . . i have rung once, and i got a nice guy who said it was obviously one of their better readers . . . . . . . :p and was very helpful . and they put a note on my details and to actually go thro the gate and take readings . . . . . . . . .
so im doing their job . . . . if i check it i dont get any bonus . . .

just been one of those grumpy days for beetle i guess . . . . . . . .

you guys helped me keep the faith that its not me with the problem syndrome i thought i mite have . :p
